The San Angelo Health Foundation has awarded $486,400
to 15 area nonprofits in their quarterly grants. Galilee CDC was
awarded $150,000 to renovate an 8-unit apartment building to
serve low-income young adults. Lake Ivie Volunteer Fire
Department was awarded $22,000 to replace doors at their
firehouse. The Institute for Cognitive Development was
awarded $150,000 to purchase the Early Redwine Childcare
Center and surrounding property. The Miles Empowerment
Association was awarded $20,000 to install a multipurpose
concrete slab in the Miles City Park. The San Angelo Area
Foundation was awarded $100,000 for the 2024 San Angelo
Gives Amplification Fund. The YMCA of San Angelo was awarded
$31,200 for a Program Director for their new E-sports Lounge.
Unsolicited seasonal assistance grants for eleven organizations
totaling $13,200 were also awarded for holiday programming needs.
