In response to a $1 million challenge grant announced last
year, Angelo State University has received new grants totaling
A hundred and 50 thousand dollars from two nonprofit organizations
to help fund the ongoing renovations and updates to the ASU Rodeo
Complex at the San Angelo Fairgrounds. The Dallas-based Crystelle
Waggoner Charitable Trust has awarded ASU a One Hundred thousand
dollar grant, and the local Earnest and Dorthy Barrow Foundation has
awarded 50 thousand dollar grant. Both grants will be utilized for the
ASU Rodeo Complex improvements. This also brings the total donations
for the ASU Rodeo Complex project to 2 hundred 25 thousand which will
be matched by the challenge grant that was pledged by an anonymous
donor in June.
