San Angelo Fire Department members were recognized for their bravery at the San Angelo City Council meeting on Tuesday. Three members of the rescue team that worked to save five people from dangerous flood waters in Miles last month all received the San Angelo Fire Department’s Medal of Honor it’s a rare honor that is the highest active duty service award for SAFD. The volunteer firefighters of Quail Valley were awarded the prestigious citizen service award for saving an ambulance crew that was also stuck in the flood.
