4.8 Million Grant Approved By TG County Commissioners Court

On Tuesday, the Tom Green County Commissioners Court approved a $4.8 million grant for a new south gate at Goodfellow Air Force base. The commissioners court approved the Defense Economic Assistance Grant, which comes through the Texas Military Preparedness Commission, to build a two-lane entrance along Chadbourne that features an ‘S’ curve for safety concerns. There will also be a new visitors center.
