Filing Begins Today for May 3 General Election

Today begins the period where you can file to run in the May 3 general election in San Angelo. Candidate packets are available for those wishing to file to be on the ballot for the upcoming general election that will decide who will occupy the mayoral role and three councilmembers seats. Candidates may file beginning on Jan. 15, with the filing period closing at 5 p.m. on Feb. 14. The position of mayor and the single-member districts 2, 4 and 6 seats will be determined through the May 3 election. These positions will serve a four-year term ending in May 2029, as per the City.
