A group of Catholic pilgrims walked through Downtown San Angelo on Sunday, June 8, as part of a national journey celebrating Pentecost and the Eucharist—the belief in the presence of Jesus in communion. The pilgrimage began in May in Indianapolis and will end in Los Angeles, with stops across West Texas including Fort Stockton and El Paso. Pilgrims say the experience is about healing, faith, and unity, even under the hot Texas sun. The event is part of a three-year movement by U.S. Catholic bishops to help believers reconnect with the deeper meaning of the Eucharist.
